The America in US is a free program designed for the celebration of America 250 that enables you to find out how you are related to the people featured in museum exhibits all over the country!

Museums preserve the stories of courage, compassion, determination, creativity, and hope that belong to all of us.

The America in US gives you greater access to these important stories and to helps you discover your connections to them.

Find a museum on our interactive map, then:

-Visit and scan QR codes at exhibits to find out how you are related to the featured person(s).

-OR, use the interactive map to search at museums far from your home.

There is NO user data collected or stored whatsoever.

No personal information is required to discover a relationship with the historical person, and no account is needed or created.

You only enter the name of a deceased person and the state of death, if known.

It is highly recommended that you use a grandparent or other close relative so that the search results are valid; however, you can input any name you choose.

YES!The America in US is absolutely free!

The program is a labor of love created by a mom and UX student whose children's lives were transformed by their experiences at museums and historic sites across the US.

She hopes that you, too, will explore the rich experiences available in them--especially during the celebration of America 250!
